SHE’S NOT CLOWNING AROUND: MUMPRENEUR FEATURED FOR JUGGLING PARENTING WHILE ALSO RUNNING A SMALL BUSINESS

ME&MY owner and creator, Sara Freeman, is first and foremost a Mum but running a successful small business comes a close second. Sara often refers to her business as her “baby” so to be selected as 1 of 10 fabulous mums in small business to be featured on Kochie’s Business Builders was a real coup.

“Working for myself and having the ability to work from home has given me a flexibility to play a bigger part in the life of my children than if I was working for someone else. It’s important to me to be there for them but also to follow my own dreams and set an example for them as well”, says Sara.

Sara is the talent behind the brand ME&MY Hair Care, launched 5 years ago. ME&MY is a range of professional hair care products sold through hairdressing salons and online. With over 20 years industry experience it is Sara’s extensive knowledge of ingredients and development of formulations that has led to being acknowledged as an expert in her field. However, Sara believes the real truth behind her success is that she’s a normal, everyday mum and most people can relate to that.

Being featured on the website run by well-known celebrity David Koch came as a complete surprise and to be featured on the list as 1 of 10 mums in small business has been a big boost for this mum of 2. The article identifies the struggle of balancing parenting while owning a small business and celebrates those that work so hard to be part of the small business community.

ME&MY is proud to be a small, Australian owned and made brand.

Redland City Bulletin features ME&MY owner, Sara

After being featured as 1 of 10 Mums in Small Business by Kochie’s Business Builders (https://www.kochiesbusinessbuilders.com.au/celebrating-fabulous-mums-working-small-business/6/) the story was then picked up by the Redland City Bulletin (http://www.redlandcitybulletin.com.au/story/4669377/kochie-features-wello-pt-business-owner/?cs=213).

I couldn’t be more thrilled to have my story in our local news. I love living in Redland City and it’s double the honour as both articles acknowledge how hard it is to run a small business and balance being a mum at the same time.

So many times I’ve wondered what I got myself in for but it’s absolutely worth it when I see my gorgeous girls and know I’m showing them women can do anything they set their mind to!
